The event, which will take place from 13 to 16 July, signed a mutual cooperation agreement with the prestigious Salon du Chocolat Paris.
The Cocoa and Chocolate Salon - Peru seeks to consolidate its position in the region and now has a strategic ally: the Salon du Chocolate Paris, a world-wide largest festival dedicated to cocoa and its products.
At the initiative of its organizing committee, the Peruvian event is internationalized by entering the prestigious network of chocolate salons through a mutual cooperation agreement. In this way, Peru becomes the first cocoa-producing country to be part of this network and will be part of the international calendar of chocolate events.
The partnership agreement states that the Salon du Chocolat Paris will provide Peru with its extensive 'know-how' in the organization of fairs, as it does in France (Paris and Lyon), Japan (Tokyo), the USA (New York), among others. It also undertakes to inform its current and potential exhibitors about the Salon del Cacao and Chocolate Peru and to channel contacts to interested parties.
The organizing committee is composed of the Peruvian Association of Cacao Producers (APPCACAO), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the National Commission for Development and Life Without Drugs (DEVIDA), the Commission for the Promotion of Exports and Tourism of Peru (PROMPERU), the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR), the Ministry of Agrarian and Irrigation Development (MIDAGRI), the Ministry of Production (PRODICE) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
